A common expression in Bergenese comes to mind: "Det e nåkke så e galt så ikkje e riktig". ("There is something that is wrong that is not right").

a pibbur who (AFAHK) always feels like this.

Found another 42 reference. In the book "Ordinary Differential Equations" by Kenneth B Howell regarding the order of differential equations the following example is given:


d^42y/dx^42=(d^3y/dx^3)^2


pibburR who assumes that it may be possible to solve said equation, but it involves a lot of work.


PS. Matlab refused to do anything beyond d^4y/dx^4=(d^3y/dx^3)^2. Haven't tried Mathematica. DS.
