Hmmm, maybe it should have been in mmo section...

It probably is just a name for the letter G. I remember at the time the codename for Dragon Commander was Project D and Original Sin was Project E (The game actually also had a different name starting with E at that time). Perhaps they just continued with the letters where Original Sin 2 was Project F. And this game is Project G.
It is also their 7th game and G is the 7th letter in the alfabet and Gustav might just be the name of his dog
