Arti Gupta from Consumer Electronics talked to Bedlam Games Tim Ernst about Daggerdale. Here's an excerpt:
A.G.: What sets Daggerdale apart from other RPGs out there?
T.E.: Well, we needed to start with what didnít set us apart. We didnít want to remove any of the customization. We didnít want to remove all the loot. We didnít want to remove anything that was critical to RPG gamers. We really wanted to focus on the brawling mechanics -- the combos, the powers, the type of things that make it feel really good in your hand. We tried to focus on that moment-to-moment gameplay.

i knew this game was not for me when the following occurred:

1. My character ice skated like gumby.
2. I was able to actively skate like gumby in the background of a cutscene while the main talker, a dwarf was oddly very silent.

Gumby is not part of a proper RPG experience, thank you.
