Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen - Ready to preload

Yeah that escort quest to gran soren was talking about, most of the harpies were just magically teleporting in those trees in the pass . Ill play tomorrow too to see if it gets better.

Which RPGS have better combat? I thought climbing up a cyclops arm, cutting off his horns to use for materials, then attacking his weak point for massive damage has probably set a new standard for me. I'm not sure I can go back to chopping at boss ankles like Dark Souls.

Dogma seems to have a lot of features I was thinking would really improve Dark Souls like good jumping and climbing. If only it had co-op multiplayer!

So much this. This a thousand times over. It's a really simple idea, but it's a literal game-changer. I understand why other games don't incorporate the whole climbing/clinging because it takes INSANE animation/rigging skills. But c'mon other developers! Copy Dogma's epic combat already!

I also don't know if I can go back…well, fine, I'll obviously go back one more time for Dark Souls 3...but I'll be wishing it had Dogma-combat every battle.

I find it funny that when I got this game free in my Playstation Plus back in 2013, the general reaction was 'meh', but now that it's on Steam it's creating such a craze.

That's when I got it for free, too. And actually, Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen was considered a great game by most users and critics...it's just that being a re-release many players didn't realize it even came out or ignored it.

The messaging for Dark Arisen was also off, which really hurt it's sales. People were totally confused if it was just an expansion for $40 on console in 2013, or the full game, and if it required the original game, and so on. Hence, less buzz than should have been.

But don't forget Dragon's Dogma, a NEW intellectual property, still managed to sell over 2.3 million copies! That's VERY successful actually.

So Dogma on PC has huge hype because it has literally millions of fans, who have been waiting on a PC version for years.

I fear the game is getting over-hyped and we're gonna have a lot of disappointed faces on this site tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, it's a great game for sure. I loved it to bits when I got it on my console. But you have to remember this is a 4-5 year old game. It's not gonna look great graphical, it's going to have features that 4-5 years ago was amazing that we take for granted today. And if you're of the impatient type, you're screwed cuz this is a slow paced game.
Too high expectations quite often leads to disappointment, which will lead to disliking something you might have liked with less expectations.

I'm good with slow. I don't care if the graphics look from the eighties or nineties, I just want a long, slow grind that will be enjoyable alone the way. I just finished Final Fantasy three this morning so......feed me more!

Ya, have been enjoying the hype but am waiting on the general reception before getting on the band wagon. I am hoping it delivers.
