The look of these types of games always creep me out. The female characters all look like 12-year-old overly developed porn actors. Pedo material; no thanks.

I've never been a fan of some of the artwork for many of the jrpg's that I enjoy playing, but the visuals aren't why I play them. For the most part, the combat tends to be turn-based, which is by far my preference, the games themselves tend to have decent stories, and most of all, they tend to be above average in difficulty, often down-right brutal. I don't know anything about this particular game, but it does appear to be something that I may enjoy.

Ha, the decolletage is quite noticeable. Apparently its setting is the French Revolution and the main character is a kind of female Napoleon, I wonder if you go on a campaign to Italy? Combat involves guys in lines shooting at each other, which probably symbolically represents the style of formal combat at the time as well as an programmable game mechanic. As settings go its not too bad. I will probably watch a few youtube/ twitch videos of it.

While the actual game play and combat may be quite good, I just can't divorce my gaming experience from its visuals. This is true for all the games I play. Maybe I'm odd, but if the look of a game doesn't add to the immersion, I just can't get into it. It doesn't mean I'm hung up on graphics or visuals. The graphics of an old game like Gothic 1 & 2 are not off-putting to me. But they do have to match the milieu of the game. Yes, this game features costumes roughly appropriate to 18th century France. The characters wearing them? No.

Well I find it highly misleading to have an art style like that and not have it reflected in the game mechanics as well. Highly misleading, an art style like that without any cheesy romantic plot or mechanic is just disappointing. It, it makes me so mad.

My main takeaway here is that her thighs look so glossy they'd have to be made of plastic.

lol Im no expert, but by looking at these Asian games I have acknowledgement that all they are about is little teenage girls with huge boobs and skimpy outfits doing they heroic things with oversized swords or (like here) commanding full grown male armies into battle.
Interesting - they portrayed males of various ages, but females I see mostly are only teenage girls, I guess it's a some national wide or even racial fetish then.

Ikbenrichard, as the subject of this thread states, the english release is the version being discussed here. So while it currently isn't available now, I suspect that will altered at the time of the upcoming launch.

Ahh and again the zealots come out to call out anyone who likes Jrpgs as pervs….yep, that's exactly why they play the games with good stories etc….do some of the girls look sexualized? Sure, it's more of a culture thing….does it make anyone playing them perverts? not at all. get over yourselves.

Oddly enough, most people that actually know me call me a prude rather than a pervert=p. Although I suspect, at varying times, that both labels have been and will continue to be applicable.

Ever seen an asian women who is cca 50, looking as if she was still a schoolgirl? Well I did.
Real people aside, this is a videogame in a specific style without real people but sprites as dolls instead. The manga drawing style is as it is and it won't be changed just because some yell "wolf". Sure, to a nun such style will look oversexualized, well, their problem if they're buying games only because boobs.
Nuns aside, when I buy a game I don't care much how dolls look inside it. Looks can be easily modded.
I care if the game is fun or is yet another grinding boredom. This one? I don't know. I can't read the most of existing reviews to find it out.

Cmon, guys, stop pretending that it is some cultural heritage or some shit - it is just sexy half naked girls meant to draw in male audience.

I've always been a bit dubious of fantasy novels and RPGs games that advertise themselves via prominent views of bare female flesh. It seems a bit too cheesy, and suggests the content lacks substance.

Looks interesting on first sight. If gameplay mechanics and tactics are not shallow I might give this try. It seems also Switch version might also happen, which would I prefer in this case. Careful thumbs up.
