The ever-popular "Currently Listening" thread

New album, actually EP, came out from one of my favorite band April Rain.
And in this track, the piano play is very good, so emotional flow in the music.
I am grateful for this band.
April Rain-Melting Snowman

Oh, very nice. I really like this bittersweet style on piano.

Another piano piece by April Rain
April Rain - i wrote this instead of letter

and here is a really nice guitar piece even with the thrashy guitars
April Rain - Waiting for Sunrise

And a trance track from 1999. Nice vocal, chuggy percussion and bass, a bit progressive. Memorable synth lines.
Tilt - Invisible (12" Original Vocal Mix)

Ok, I'll admit this one is a bit cheesy. Still dig it. It's pretty obvious that Jaydee borrowed the synth line vamp and expanded on it. Trancey and piano, plus that Plastic Dreams line, and a nice vocal.
Urban Cookie Collective - The Key, The Secret (Glamourously Developed Mix)
Actually the Dancing Divaz version is more trancey / progressive and less piano and less of Plastic Dreams copy paste. Might be better.
Urban Cookie Collective - The Key, The Secret (Dancin Divaz Club Mix)

April Rain is the best! My favorite tracks are Queue Up For Infinity, and Leave me No Light.

I like that Tilt. :)

And I like the The Key, The Secret (Dancin Divaz club mix) better.
Synth is more alive in this version, which I like.

Here is an oldie Progressive House, pretty much known and popular.
Da Hool - Meet Her At The Loveparade
And I must say, it's still good listening it today. Quality electronic music. :)

A little bit of Benassi?
Benny Benassi - Every Single Day
Good-feel vibe overall, nice melody, strong bassline. Also I like the vocal.
In the video, nice beach and young beautiful women prance around. The two beautiful aspects of nature . ;)

Benassi Bros Feat. Dhany - Hit My Heart
A little bit more beach. And a nice young lady,a little lonely in the sand, who is wondering if her heart is going to be hit, yet again. :)
The music vibe is also good, it is pumping and dynamic, head nodding tune, Bennassi style.

Benny Benassi - Illusion
Another feel-good vibe, pumping up the heat. Vocal is pretty good. The melody is spot on.
And, the video takes us into a club, folks feeling good and all.

I dare not link here Benny Benassi-Satisfaction. It is a bit too suggestive.
But, if looking for a good handy tool, it has to be one of the best commercial for selling them tools. :)

Shoegazing style. Nice. :)

Cool!

This one sounds familiar. Great trance stuff! "I Wanna give You Devotion"
Nomad - Devotion - 1991
I like this jazzy piano remix sans rap.
Nomad - Devotion (Soul Mix)

Do you mean this one? Hilarious. :) A nice techno toon from 2002.

And here is the Dancing Divaz mix of Reach by Judy Cheeks. Thought you may like it. It's more electronic than the Brothers original.

And even more trancey and progressive housey is Quiver's Vocal Remix. There really is a plethora of sterling remixes of this song.

And a fantastic progressive house BIG vocal. Trance elements, and strong garage flavor.
Brothers In Rhythm Presents Charvoni - Forever And A Day (Original Club Mix)
As is the case for this one, all the Bros and Rhythm remixes must be heard on headphones or a REALLY good stereo for the atmosphere and subtle effects. There's a reason they used Trevor Horn's Sarn West studio. :)

And a great trance vocal remix of Tilt's Invisible by Lost Tribe.

Finally, an absolute classic trance vocal from the period at about its peak (1997). Has all the right elements, I think. And a fantastic ethereal vocal.
Ascension - Someone (Original Vocal Mix)
Ascension is Space Brothers but on the Perfecto label. Enjoy!

The world needs new instruments, like uh, this one:

There's also a video showing how the machine was built.

And surprisingly I'm now listening to Wintergatan. Really bizarre stuff. Sounds like as if Dr. Who was in a band and the band made this music. The guy even looks a bit like the 11th Doctor (Matt Smith) playing with the Tardis.

Some wonderful vocal happy house. Yes, Janet Jackson and Luther Vandross.
Luther Vandross & Janet Jackson - The Best Things In Life Are Free (K-Klass 12" Mix)
other good remixes
(CJ's U.K. 12 w/o Rap Mix)
(S-Man Salsoul Vibe)
(Classic 12" w/Rap) try to ignore the rap, it's very short thankfully.

Here's a funny one I had forgotten about. Not sure how to classify it. Has trance and disco elements, definitely. "Oh..... your hair is beautiful tonight...... ATOMIC" :)
Blondie - Atomic (Diddy's 12" Mix)

I know this one, a true goldie…wow, all the way from '91. :)

I like the more Trancey RMX version (Quiver's Vocal Remix)…haha, saw your comment on YT. :)

And a great trance vocal remix of Tilt's Invisible by Lost Tribe.

Oh, YES! Trance Divine!

YES! This track is golden! Pure Trance elements. And also the vocal is sweet as honey.

And I have remembered Gigi D'Agostino. Some Italiano Dance/Club music. He has some good remixes and fun productions of his own.
Favorite tracks for me are
Gigi D'Agostino - La Passion
Gigi D'Agostino - L'Amour Toujours

And I heard Sonique - It Feels So Good on the radio the other day…such a good vibe music. She has a few good ones too.

Probably Grace's best track. Classic vocal trance. Her best vocal I think.
Grace - Down to Earth (Oakenfold & Osbourne Master Mix)
Space Brothers (aka Ascension remix) is more ethereal. Lovely.
Grace - Down to Earth (Ascension Remix)
Remix by Direct Hit has bits of both, and is restructured to be more driving.
Grace - Down to Earth (Direct Hit Remix)

and another goodie by Grace
Grace - I Want to Live (Oakenfold and Osborne Mix)

These are just to good! Going to replay it a few times me thinks.

Ah yes, I had forgotten about Gigi. Odd and great! :) My favorite is L'Amour Toujours. Great remixes of that one, some with processed vocals and others not. Still not sure of the full set or what to name them. Downloading these. :)
Gigi D'Agostino - L'Amour Toujours (Original)

A great artist. Fantastic song! :)
Original 12" mix
Sonique - It Feels So Good (Original 12" Mix)
and a nice trance version
It Feels So Good (Conductor & The Cowboy Amnesia Mix)
a more sparse trance version… like this one. Reminds me of the Trousers.
It Feels So Good (En-Motion Remix)

Another cool one by her.
Sonique - Sky
and a banging trance / progressive house remix
Sonique - Sky (Conductor and Cowboy Remix)
and smooth house remix by a Deep Dish member
Sonique - Sky (Sharam Jay Remix)

Just bought & listened to David Bowie's final farewell Album Blackstar.

In the words of his producer and manager.

"He made 'Blackstar' for us, his parting gift. I knew for a year this was the way it would be." "His death was no different from his life -- a work of Art."

Bowie had already finished Blackstar by November. But even before then, Visconti noticed the tone of some of the lyrics and told him, "You canny bastard. You're writing a farewell album." Bowie simply laughed in response. "He was so brave and courageous," says Visconti. "And his energy was still incredible for a man who had cancer. He never showed any fear. He was just all business about making the album."

So I've listened to the whole album a few times now, and have to say it's quite engaging. Really. Lyrically and musically. Only an extremely dense person would not be able to tell right away that this was a farewell album. So it's a bit sad and also celebratory at times. Really cool. Atonal, dark, and offbeat at times. Sometimes soaring. Quite good! :)
