Default Some rpg fan art

February 8th, 2018, 01:02
Here is some fan art I did (one of the images is a tribute to Spiderweb Software and Jeff Vogel, particularly the first or latest remake of Avernun Escape from the Pit) as it follows my life in parallell a lot (the overall theme of being thrown in a prison that turns out to be an environment full of savage tribes or groups bickering and fighting amongst themselves while those with the real power laugh or direct the outcome of things (Empire or the U.S. govt in my case and people at the lawyer/da round table they trade human lives with lies and plea bargains). The other piece I added some text (and digital graphics as with first image but I have originals with no text or graphics as well) to make it also Avernun based, but it was created as a general fantasy theme and could be applied to a lot of such work including my favorite fantasy book Shadowmasque, chich I mentioned here:
https://www.rpgwatch.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37229

Here is the art:

This one is overall rpg, fantasy or dungeons and dragons theme (all done on blaxk pastel paper with white pastels mostly soft):

You can check out more of my stuff here: www.mike-lata.com (there is an art section as well as graphic design). Oh and zi did all these in prison, thats how I stayed sane.

You are so much better without colours. Your coloured art isnt quite right, I cant put my finger on why though. Your black and white piece is amazing.

The black and white ones alright, but I like the second piece the best. I'm especially fond of the sense of depth made by the cave interior. I think the colour adds warmth to the contrast of the lighting and I like the highlights on the background/foreground objects.

My write up about the historicsl or middle aged art I've done:
https://mike-lata.com/2017/09/17/my-…terpretations/

I decided to take the copyright out and just show them to you guys as they are. Maybe it will i spire me to create more art or try going in this direction like I once planned:

Here are some more including my interpretations of the legends of Mieszko I or the first king of poland that unified the Polasse tribes or the slavic at the time pre-christian pagan tribes in the land:

Here was his son or my interpretation of him, named Bolesław the brave:

"How will you shape this world? How will you be remembered? As slayer or a savior? The choice is yours when you enter the world of Avernun" (Id love to do marketing like this with art, ads and maybe video for indy studios -- or combine blogging with art for kotaku polygon, joystiq or something):

My soft Metroid interpretation or pastel metroid:

If anyone is interested, I started an art print shop on Facebook or you can just email or contact me via pm here and I may expand it if it takes off or I get enough interest to me investing in spray or fixer than really scanning the images somehow or going to a specialty print shop and also offeirng various size and paper quality prints:
https://t.co/MuoG5KIKsu

The price right now is only for regular prints of the images available with an iPad image as scan, but again if there is enough interst ai can get them professionally scanned and printer for a greater price since I would be investing a lot more (I still am using ink and having to buy paper just for these on top of the time wnd effort for the art involved).

You are transported into another world, another imagination, when you all soon realize it is more than just a hoax. Now, you must decide, will I survive in this brutal land or will I choose to adapt and fight. Welcome to the world of Avernun:

I'd rather hear details about your love life in prison.

The only question is if it's in appropriate forum section. Could be.

Sometimes, after I kill, I like to make a photocopy of my genitals and colour it in with day-glo crayons.

If anyone would like a copy, please contact New Scotland Yard via twitter.

Yeah, I've done a lot of archery. I was almost in the olympics!

Can you do pixel art? Show me a man in a 16x16 picture.
