PC Gamer reports that CD Projekt RED will return to the Witcher series but it won't be Witcher 4.

In conversation with Polish finance website Bankier.pl (via VG24/7), Kiciński rules out 'The Witcher 4' as a title, but expresses interest in returning to its setting and world.

"The first three Witchers were by definition a trilogy, so we simply could not name the next game The Witcher 4," Kiciński tells Bankier.pl (via Google Translate). "This does not mean, of course, that we will leave the world of The Witcher, created by us for over a dozen years. The Witcher is one of two franchises on which to build in the future activities of the company. Today, unfortunately, I can not reveal anything more."

Hah knew it as we all talked about this before. Of course the new game will probably follow Cyberpunk 2077 where you are allowed to create your character to play.

As Geralt and Ciri's story is done, and I'm fine with that. She is now Empress and Geralt is either living as a Duke in Toussaint with Yennefer, or with Triss in Kovir.

Why is Ciri's story done?

Oh, you got her killed in your playthrough, right?

Wrong, Couch! Ciri's ass is on the road, killing monsters… not polishing some uncomfortable throne. True story :)
Yep she has there endings.

1. Becomes Empress - Best Ending
2. Becomes a Witcher - Neutral Ending
3. She Dies- Bad Ending
So yeah another BioWare game where your choice don't matter if they continue.

You are evil.
Maybe but it's cool to be evil.

Anyway offering multiple endings to players does have the disadvantage of forcing a developer to pick a cannon setting. This always leads to backlash from the player-base.

So I vote for a prequel or a game set many years in the future.

Here we go again:
Rise of the Witcher Order: Geralt as the only remaining Witcher revives the Witcher schools with the help of Ciri who after 20 years of reigning in Nilfgaard is fed up with politics.
You play as one of the new Witcher aspirants with full character customization.

I wonder how they decide which is the best/neutral/bad ending. I mean wouldn't #2 be better than #1 or maybe she is #2 while being #1 or maybe after becoming #1 she ended up #3. Hum.... i wonder what really happens.

Simply really You so here you go.

Option #1 - make you Ruler of the known world
Option #2 - you become infertile and live as a vagabond
Option #3 - Your dead so it's bad just the end

You cant mix all three endings but only choose one based on your choices.
Also not a Spoiler but Ciri was never a full Witcher she was just trained in the arts.

Of course there will be another iteration in this series, it is guaranteed easy money for them. It's just a matter of when.
Yep probably a few years after Cyberpunk 2077 releases.
