The Banner Saga 3 has funded and has announced its first stretch goal of playable dredge in the latest update.

DUNDR'S BEARD! Thanks to you, we reached our funding goal for the development of Banner Saga 3 in less than a week! This game really is the type of project that simply could not get made without the backing of the best community a small team could ever ask for. Your support, and your help spreading the word, have put us well on our way to finishing this epic Saga.

This is just the beginning, though! This is when the fun starts and from here on out it's cherries on top for everyone! We have lots of great stuff planned that we simply didn't think we'd get a chance to put in the game. Let's do it together, shall we?

You've been calling out for this a long time, and it hasn't fallen on deaf ears; We are pleased to announce our very first Stretch Goal: Playable dredge!
More information.

The second game sold really bad and those guys are trying to launch the third so soon. That either takes guts or they're stupid.

Really glad to hear it. Interesting first stretch goal, too.

They said they had to. They want to uphold their promise of the trilogy.
Also, they believe it is due to not having involved players in the development that it sold badly.

So, with another KS they are thinking it will re-ignite the sales of the first two plus fund the third one.

Never played these as they seemed extremely short and were cartoon drawn. Hate cartoon characters for an adult game.

Wouldn't call them short, but it's mostly turn-based combat.

I remember the original Kickstarter promised the funding would allow them to create the whole Trilogy. but it seems the lengthy development burned their cash flow.

Also it's a shame the second episode was a commercial failure.:(

It's better then the countless Pixel RPGs/Games that were funded.
