This is why I play games on normal. I can't be bothered with pointless difficulty increases.

If my backlog was empty and I needed something different to do, then I would replay on harder difficulties.

I left him to complete everything else on Eos. Did that, returned at level 19 and took him out on the 2nd attempt. So it looks like you need to be around level 20 to do these guys.

Eos arhitect is suposed to be what's the difficulty below easy? Story mode?
Other architects are harder. But well, if you keep solving sidequests (not TASKS! skip stupid random generator tasks unless you're after some achievements) nothing hard there.

Anyway, these "beasts" are supposed to be dealt with when you get close to the final mission. Don't forget to loot the box they drop after you send them into planet orbit!
It's easy to miss it.

I did that one on the return to EOS I'm pretty sure. Wasn't too hard on normal. Just tedious.

Hum. The one I did wasn't on EOS; maybe I should increase the difficulty ? What level do you finish the game at ?

I'm pretty sure all the architects are the same.

I'm still enjoying the Last Remnant, I think I've got my final group all set and I'm going through what appears to be a set of six bases, all which seem to be commanded by folks that were earlier giving me quests to complete, and now which appear to be enemies of mine.

I'm still playing ME:A. Level 37 now. Just finished Voled. The terrain and fights were a little more interesting as you have to watch your life support as you fight things like the Architect. I screwed up and added a plasma mod to my snipper riffle so now I have to remake it.

I have 5 of 9 cores (no clue why I need cores but I have 5 of them). And I have almost all the memories I need but I still have to go back to the nexus to listen to them - not really interested in going back to the nexus. I hope I finish this game soon. It is isn't horrible but it is repetitive and mindless. I presume when I get 9 cores something interesting will happen - maybe - maybe not.

The story progresses as you experience more of the memories. They are integral to the main quest. Also, the main quest progresses in the nexus, so not sure if you can avoid it.

The cores are just a rather pointless collection quest. Sorry.

I really need TES 6, but I guess I'm going to have to survive with the older games for a little while longer.

I reinstalled Morrowind and Oblivion recently and I will probably reinstall Skyrim too after today and reading Skyrim subreddit. All vanilla outside patches mods, and prettier faces and UI..and magicka regen/faster base speed for Morrowind. When I re-install those games I tend to spend more time installing mods than playing them so I wanted to be "productive" this time.

Saying that, Morrowind is rather empty without mods, it's like everything lives in caves, tombs, towns or mines. It's also quite silent. The wall-o-text exposition is also rather bad.

I haven't really played Oblivion outside doing the tutorial and entering the Imperial city to sell my loot. But one thing jumped out to me, the first quest I got in it was a side quest to expose a merchant by finding where he get his stocks. At that point, I started to remember quests in Oblivion and they are a lot more memorable than what I got so far in Morrowind (finding and killing the murderer of the taxman in Seyda Neen, escorting an old lady to the field of Kummu and picking mushrooms for Aijira).

I'm not sure how much I'm going to play these, but so far I'm right back in 2001 and 2006…

Speaking of Elder Scrolls… ESO extended the 4 year anniversary event one more week, so I am continuing to waste time doing over 60 daily quests a day. Backfilling on many missed motifs and others to sell for quite a load of gold.

Finally jumped into Avernum three: Ruined World yesterday, and so far, so great. There seems to be a somewhat deeper curve going into this one, even the trashy goblins were harder than I remembered, so it is keeping me on my toes.

Played a couple of hours of the new God of War. Wow, I'm also impressed. Way way better than the original series, which I considered just a button-mashy hack and slash action game, with a one dimensional main character. This one is quite the opposite.

Kratos is way better written and acted, even though he doesn't talk a lot. You can see they've taken huge inspirations from The Last of Us. Even down to some scenes almost mimicking scenes from TLOU. It's nowhere as good as TLOU, but you can see great efforts being made to make a more mature story and setting.

And the combat, my god, it's wonderful. So meaty, and visceral. And not button mashy. You button mash, you die. And I'm surprised at how difficult I find the game, even on the average setting.

Oh, and finally and visuals and music. Absolutely superb, especially graphics. Sweet lord does that lighting look absolutely amazing.

Another thing this has done, is made my even more hyped for The Last of Us: Part II

I was never a fan of the God of War games - fairly standard linear hack and slash, with some sadistic violence that set a tone I didn't like. This reboot does look beautifully done, though. I expect I'll pick up a PS4 when Last of Us and RDR 2 arrive, and this will be one of the titles I'll be checking out.

Never heard much about Gods of War - not even sure it is a pc game - no clue what type of gameplay it has. Still playing ME:A - I think i might finish this weekend. Just trying to complete peewee's rem before going to miridian. Peewee is getting to be a pia. Level 51. Hum. I think the problem with the game is that the writing (or maybe it is the acting) just lack something. I wonder if bioware has lost too much talent to do another decent game. I tried to compare it to witcher 3 and a few other open world game. The quests are just kind of pointless and boring. They are just mindless things to do - will write more once I finish - or maybe not.

Lords of Xulima. Really enjoying it. I'm only five hours in but the combat is fun and the exploration is great. I like that you can easily find yourself facing much more powerful enemies (like the horrid mushroom things with the faces), that you have to learn to avoid until you've levelled up. The thing I don't like so far is that you have to wander around triggering random encounters before you can clear an area, but that's a minor grumble. Overall it seems great and I'm looking forward to sinking hours into it.

The writers for MEA have at least 2 BioWare games on their credit if not more (the majority worked on ME3), except for one guy who left about 2 years before the game released (aka around when they decide to remake the whole thing in 18 months). One of them worked on all BioWare games but Shattered Steel and SWTOR.

BioWare lost 2 writers in the last 10 years, but they added like 10 new ones since 2009. The writing team is like 20 people now (they usually have 5 to 7 on a game, except SWTOR, MEA and Anthem).

I am playing Slay the Spire, a dungeon crawl meets deck drafting game, and heartily recommend it--even in early access.
