WolfheartFPS previews the races we can expect to see in Baldur's Gate 3.

In this video I go over the races that will be available in Early Access for Baldur's Gate 3. Subraces, racial features, and which EA classes go best with which EA races. Hopefully this video helps get you more prepared for BG3!
More information.

OK, here's the short version:

Githyanki
Tiefling
Drow
Human
Dwarf
Elf
Half-elf
Half-drow (which has a picture of Xena!?)
and Hobbits by their Tolkien-can't-sue-us name

All the favorites, nice to see. I usually play Half-Elf as my main character, so glad they included that one.

I am considering to play a half-elf rogue and maybe even a halfling considering their bonuses. First time for everything!

I always end up playing a human cus it's what I can relate to and identify with easier, but I might try a Githyanki this time, just because how exotic and unique they are. :)

I really wonder how they'll do reactivity when playing as a Drow.

I expect Paladin will be in there in final version.
Also wondering if there would be possibility for good Drow.
I think that combination would be nice as charisma melee.

Looks interesting for now.

Dwarfs forever! Hopefully they're not neglected too much in the face of the more unusual options available for the game.

Still awhile yet though before it's time for a bit of rough and tumble.

Or a Githyanki. Who are rare outsiders who most npcs probably would never have encountered before, and if npcs actually know what they are, they should probably react similarly to how they would react to a Drow.

Gnome? Tiax won't approve!

My comment pertained to the apparent absence of Gnomes in the EA.

Hopefully it'll stay that way. If it was up to me, there'd be no halflings either. Kinda sick of seeing midgets taking the epicness out of every fantasy medieval setting just because of "comic relief".

Lets see Human, Elf, Half-elf & Half-drow. All I need for three or more play-through's. I wont miss if Gnomes and halfings never get put in RPGs ever again. No offence to those that do.

Yeah agree on gnomes and halflings. Dwarves rock though.

And, to be fair, Mazzy was a good character in Baldurs Gate II.

Mazzy was a well written halfing in Baldurs Gate II that I can't deny. I just see no point in playing that race myself in RPGs. Then again those damn Hobbits ruined everything.

The only question is can you play multi player like in the first two and make your entire party? Because I will have six Githyanki.

I think the max party size is 4. But yes, playing a full githyanki party sounds like fun!

And even better, a solo githyanki challenge. I wonder if there will be "Lone Wolf" feats or traits.. DnD has none that I know, but it would make sense for a videogame.
