But we still don't really know what they were doing to the game so many years later? Seems really sketchy if you ask me. No clue why they'd be doing anything like this, though, because it'll clearly just blow up in their faces at this point.

I cannot imagine what they would be doing with an endeavour such as this, so to me hearing that it was an error to begin with makes sense.
