Wizardry 8 - Ascension Peak crash (v1.2.4)

I just talked to Bela and wanted to check out Ascension Peak… then my game crashed.

I applied the patch, checked the version, gave it another go. It still crashes.

How do I fix this? I thought the patch fixes this bug.

EDIT: This is weird. I restarted the game, entered the Peak and now it works.

That was a bug fixed by the patch. The maps are each generated the first time you enter them. Perhaps the restart after patching forced the map to regen.
