This is correct. No uplay DRM.

Are you sure? not saying your wrong just looking for conformation (source?)

I thought if you bought a game through uplay you would have to use the uplay client to launch it just as you would need to use the steam client if you purchase from steam.

Apologies. I don't know what will happen if you the game via uplay store but if you buy it on other place then you are you are not bound by uplay DRM.

I think you use Uplay to install and activate it, but after that you don't need to be online to play it.

This weekend Amalur is 70% off on Steam. That's 6€ for the base game, or 12€ for milk-me-with-DLC edition:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/102500/

The whole collection would cost you 35€ on Origin, so if you're into who cares for story gimme clickfest and go away, do please visit Steam.

---

You're into clickfest, stories are for kids and will skip Amalur because it's not MMO?
Check your mailbox if you've bought anything from GreenManGaming in the past. Every customer received a personal voucher to get -25% on Elder Scrolls Online.

Now a month of playing with goodies is 80€ so you'll save 20€!
http://www.greenmangaming.com/s/hr/en/pc/games/mmos/elder-scrolls-online-imperial-edition/

Me? I'm not playing that even if it was free.

GOG.com is having a Wargaming Sale this weekend.

King's Bounty Series, Il-2 Sturmovik, Blitzkrieg Series, Silent Storm S2, and other wargames 70% off!

War is, undeniably, a part of human nature. Or maybe even nature in general. Everywhere you look wars are being waged. Even in your own backyard you'll find ant colonies fighting each other in endless struggle for resources and living space. According to many theories war is the single most progressive force in human history. Whether we like it or not, the root of most technological, and even social advancement lie in the race for military strength. There is no wonder war fascinates us and holds a prominent place in our imagination. And—of course—all of that interest we take in it, is being expressed via computer games. Today, we invite you to join us for a Wargaming Weekend with 18 excellent strategy and tactics titles offered whole 70% off. Let's take a brief look at some of the games, shall we?

Weeklong deal on steam is more or less aimed to adventure lovers:
http://store.steampowered.com/sale/Weeklong_Deals?snr=1_4_4__40

Jack Keane is 2.5€. The sequel… Is not on this sale. Fun guaranteed. Unless you want them both DRMfree on GOG, but that'll cost you.

A pack of 7 adventures: Nikopol: Secrets of the Immortals, Post Mortem, Scratches - Director's Cut, Still Life, Still Life 2, Syberia, Syberia II is a li'l less than 10€. Nikopol is not so good honestly, but good enough to make you buy the masterpiece comic or watch the masterpiece movie this game is based on*. Syberia 1&2 are good classic pnc adventures, but horror, thrills and Saw style of emotions waits for you in Still Life 1&2. Didn't play those two others, but this price is a steal.

Finally Ankh trilogy is funny as hell and you'll laugh for hours. Only 3.5€ for the whole pack.

——
* I believe I wrote about this game or comic before, but no matter. These things are not so hard to get, both the comic and the movie are available on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0967240123/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=a9_sc_1...ords=immortal+ad+vitam&ie=UTF8&qid=1391474974

Expensive? Of course such art is expensive!

Humble Bundle's not-weekly sale is two weeks this time. Civ 3, Civ 4, Railroads!, and the two Ace Patrol games. Beat the average and get Civ 5 + Gods & Kings. Pay $15 and get Brave New World.

https://www.humblebundle.com/

Civ 5 Complete is now on sale in North America, too. $50 for the game plus every DLC.

Just is time Zloth, I'm thinking of getting Civ Faerun and this looks like a great way to pick up the DLCs that I am lacking. And yes, my backlog also thanks you.

How do those online stores know I didn't buy it?
Perhaps someone should tell them I will never buy it so they don't send me newsletters about putting those games on sale.

But for those who can't live without getting DLC every now and then, and they can't admit it's Sims 3 what they really want to buy, comes a fresh weekend offer on gamersgate:
Bioshock_f.jpg

BioShock Weekend
http://www.gamersgate.com/bioshock

Experience the world of Bioshock, revealing two amazing worlds of Columbia and Rapture. Deal with themes like religion, racism and certainly expect to me moved and thrilled by the story! Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Bioshock Infinite franchise are on sale until Monday!

Game on!
GamersGate Team

Did I say Sims 3? Right, on Origin, since it's Sims anniversary, all Sims games and addons are on sale up to -50%:
https://www.origin.com/en-ie/store/deals/sale/sims-anniversary

Still more expensive than origin keys on go2arena.
