Citadel of the North is an isometric fantasy RPG inspired by the classic dungeon crawler games of the 90s. The game will be focused on character progression, exploration and fast paced combat which can be real time or turn based. For all the oldies out there we love Eye of the Beholder, Ice wind dale and Fallout 1 and will be drawing inspiration from these classic games.

You've got my attention. Two questions though. Why did you opt for crowdfunding and, what makes your game stand out, any unique selling points or any original mechanic?

Aloran was more story focused and this project is a pure dungeon crawler. Also me and my brother are teaming up this time.

Youtube video coming soon with me talking and showing some gameplay :). Even if we don't make it this time we can continue production at a slower pace and go the early access route.

So, lighter on the story and more geared towards exploration. Do you mind answering other questions?

The artist is a fellow codexer, but jesus they bungled this kickstarter. Like absolutely no outreach to the codex at all. I found out about this form this thread, and posted on the codex.

I hope if they continue to develop later on they hire someone with some marketing skills. Maybe Cleve :troll:

Hey Mustawd. Good to see you here. Yeah, I hadn't heard about the Kickstarter until just now. If funding doesn't come through, I hope they keep working on it. I think they'll be able to continue development, but maybe on a more Clevelike timeline.
