The TV Series discussion thread

I have high hopes for the Expanse series. Much like The Wayward Pines that comes out in May, these two shows could be either very good, or really really bad if not done right. Both series were certainly great reads.

Finished the musketeers (BBC). I liked it, very good light hearted series with the classical action and humor we all associate with the musketeers. In fact most BBC series seems to be good.

Series 2 of The Musketeers is underway, about 4 episodes from memory, and it's just as good as the first series.

Helix. Don't know what to think of this. It started out great and now (ep 5) it has become so so. What's up with the elevator music ? Im in love with the tremor girl though, it happens.

I assume you hate the show. It Stopped being horror after ep3 unfortunately

BTW: anyone know who that cockpit lady is in agents of shield. There are some hints that she is a well known "hero". But I'm no expert of marvel and DC stuff

I've started watching Agents of Shield. I'm not a big fan of Whedon's writing - but I found the first episode to be not terrible.

Is this show worth watching - and does it ever take a break from the excessively "witty" banter?

"Not terrible" ... about how I would sum up my attempts to watch it. Not bad enough to make me call it awful, not good enough to stop me just watching a cooking show and reading blogs instead ;)

I'm at episode 10. A bit bland is how i would describe it. The witty remarks are toned down.

Probably late to the party but I'm loving scrubs ATM.

Tried to watch Galavant, but episode 1, though funny, lost me with the songs. Not that they're bad I guess, but as a non-native English speaker, I find songs hard to follow, and looks like songs are a big part of this show.

Thanks for the feedback of AoS - and it sounds like it might be worth sticking with, if the Whedon oh-so-funny dialogue is toned down. That was my main issue with it.

Why are you watching that show without subtitles? Find it on a network that includes subtitles on your language!

The show is not superb, but it got me surprised and didn't go worse, I got hooked and I want to get another season ASAP!

Just watched first three episodes of Wolf Hall. Good stuff - like Game of Thrones for grown ups.
