They're a zany bunch at Arrowhead. The first expansion to Magicka has been announced at GDC - Magicka: Vietnam.
Paradox Interactive Unveils Magicka: Vietnam at GDC 2011

Didn’t See That One Coming, Did You?

SAN FRANCISCO - March 1, 2011
The wizards of Arrowhead Studios have whipped up something special for all the Magicka fans out there, today revealing the first expansion for the definitive “blow-up-your-friend” simulator that has taken the fantasy world by meteor storm. Magicka: Vietnam (yes, you read that right) will soon be available on all major digital distribution channels.

Have you ever wondered what it would have been like if wizards were allowed to roam the jungles of war-torn Vietnam, attempting to bring peace and stability to the region by casting spells on all opponents? Wait, you haven’t ever wondered that? Ever? Okay, so we’re probably the only ones who have but in our defense: here’s your chance to stop being so closed-minded. Magicka: Vietnam delivers over-the-top action as players take on the role of four meek and physically inept wizards as they try to do what so many 80’s action stars have done in the past: blow stuff up.

I been putting off buying this game due to having 14 patches already released for it. Is it finally fixed or do we need more?

Hilarious. :) Hats off to these guys for their creativity and capacity for (self-)irony. If only there were more like-minded game developers out there.

Also, this has made me laugh out loud:

Magicka Update 13

Updates to Magicka have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted.

A little treat has been added to the game.
You can now play as the Mea Culpa wizard, wielding a powerful The bug staff and the less powerful Broken Sword.
A new magick in the same theme has also been added…the unholy Crash to Desktop.

Should I laugh or should I cry ?

But my worst fears are that this even represents the youngest generation of gamers ...

The f...? Hope for gaming as an industry = restored.

(Not because of the game's theme or gameplay, but more because it's nice to see a company release stuff they like, regardless of being sure of a paying audience).

Ihe idea of wizzards roaming the jungles of vietnam sounds so wicked that I'm thinking of ordering it. Its great to see that not every game takes itself seriously :)
