Assassin's Creed Origins - Reviews

I think you should post at least 50 examples from each site, @joxer. That way I can see what these two sites are all about. Please make each example at least 20 minutes in duration. It takes me longer nowadays
I may buy this AC because it's set in pseudo-Egypt. I haven't played any of the rest though. I will definitely wait till it drops down to $30 or less though.
Finally, the argument game between @JDR13 and In-Fluent-za isn't as compelling as the ones between the former and DArtagnan. I think Dart needs to come back.

You don't need to play any of other AC games.
While you might get confused over present time parts (which are very short TBH, a minute-two and happen only three times in the game), the game is about the birth of AC - a sort of episode 1. And it's story does the job perfectly.
Okay, let's stay on topic. Reviews on AC and their miserable authors.
Anyone noticed Bayek, the hero in this game, face features?
Just imagine lighter skin, less makeup around eyes and a bit lesser nose. It's Desmond, right?
How many reviews noticed or dared to speculate on this? None. Zilch.
In the "finished" thread I've mentioned that the best ingame weapon you can get only from lootboxes. It's Coast of Rusticada:
Again, how many reviewers tell you this? Nada. Barely any mentions microtransactions and lootboxes anyway.

AC actually got slaughtered on the biggest Norwegian gaming site (6/10). Claimed it was mostly more of the same, but with a combat system that was inspired by games that did it way better, and an RPG system that doesn't feel like an RPG system.
There were some highlights though, like the overall setting feeling very fresh and well crafted.

Whatever man.
Still searching for a detailed review that will cover if not all, most of things worth mentioning being good, bad and ugly. Found a completely different review:
http://www.quartertothree.com/fp/201…-also-destiny/
The score is 2/5 (is it the lowest so far?) where for whatever reason the reviewer compares ACO (okay, some parts) with overrated garbage Destiny.
Seriously? A singleplayer only game is set against a MMO grind-o-rama. I didn't grind anything in ACO and ended with 99% completion on uPlay (admitted I refuse to do chariot need4speed races, that's probably the 1% I lack of). But even if I was revisiting respawned trashmob "hubs", there is no way a singleplayer game compared to rubbish MMO wouldn't "win". Even the worst game ever.

I understand. It's probably frustrating to debate with people who are a little more open-minded than you.![]()

I am a stickler sometimes for RPGs, but it's just because I want to see more games like ELEX made. They tend to get sh*t on by major reviewers and a certain type of gamer and it's annoying to me. I get riled up and end up fighting people over it. So now I just (try and) refrain from arguments in general.
