I wonder when they'll start their media campaign and give away more information, including real gameplay footage. I'm reserved but I can't help to be curious about this.

They will probably open the floodgates at Microsoft's E3 Xbox press conference with lots of follow-up coverage at every single Xbox event plus Quakecon and Gamescom.
A relatively short intense marketing period has worked out great for Bethesda in the past so they are probably in never change a running system mode regarding this stuff.

It's a far cry from Fallout 4 where they didn't even announce the game until 5 months before they actually released it. By comparison, this feels like we've been waiting forever.

GDC is early in the year, but E3 or Gamescom would make sense indeed. It's hard to miss E3 even if it's virtual again, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Howard show at this point.
They may even release early enough to get a score at the Games Awards.

Yeah - first mention of Starfield was a LONG time back, when people were wondering about Elder Scrolls 6 and Bethesda said they wanted to do this game first.

I'm mildly curious, just because I know they have been hyping this for a long time now. And I'm ready for all the deflated expressions of disappointment, once we see it doesn't live up to all the hype…or maybe it will, and I'm being too jaded…(shrug)
