January 24th, 2022, 19:43
Logic Artists have posted the notes of the first patch for Expeditions: Rome. The patch should be released soon.
v1.1.3 - Patch NotesMore information.
Hey we have patched a large number of localisation issues / crashes
- A large update to the game's localisation for all languages. There are still a few translation updates that will be added in future patches
- A number of crash fixes for improved overall game stability.
- A fix for a progression issue involving the encounter with Cassius during the Whack the Mole quest.
- Fixed an issue with the Deianeira character appearing in sections of the game she is not supposed to be based on story decisions. There may still be one remaining scene she could show up in based on story decisions which we are investigating for an upcoming patch

Holy cow… it's a 25-GB patch!
I'm surprised they haven't fixed the Twitch drop issue, even if that's not a big problem.

Keep those updates chugging along, it looks like the baking is coming along nicely.

For some reason I remember a few games with prior patches on great old games that seemed to be much larger than you'd suspect. I'm not exactly sure why that is, unless the patching systems work very differently.

This one was around 300 MB on Steam. The one before made you re-download the complete game.![]()
It was really a big issue with BG3, a few updates were 60-70 GB. Then you had to keep 3 times that space free on the same disk because of the download, the new and old version of the files when the patch was being applied… Thankfully Galaxy added an option to specify the location of each operation, which made it more tolerable.
