Heat!

Every state has its goodly share of idiots. The ones in Texas just shout louder than most and so get more attention.

society is so better off without the unwashed masses. Sir Walter Scott was right - only the elite should be allowed to vote. wouldn't want the silly women, uneducated, and non-property owners screwing everything up! :beam:

OTOH, Asimov has a counter to this story in his Robot novels. Dirty Spacers indeed.

oh well, wrong forum. heh.

Speaking of California its been hot here too in the 90's on and off again the past two weeks. It has been in the 100's in the past month and will likely get there again especially in late August.

But of course, that's the same every year…

I suggest we alll switch to Kelvin. 298.15 as it is today where I live sounds much more impressing than those pitiful 90's and 100's the americans (texans included) keep talking about.

pibbur who hopes nobody introduces a Fahrenheit-Kelvin scale which would, if his calculations are correct (occasionally they are), change the above mentioned temperatures to 517-527 Kf. *shivers, and not from the cold*

108 would equal about 322 Kelvin, I think, so it's not as bad as you think, Pibbur.
