Gematsu reports that action RPG Gujian 3 is now available in English on Steam. The game was previously only available in Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Publisher Wangyuan Shengtang and developer Aurogon Info & Tech Shanghai have released an update for the December 2018-released action RPG Gujian 3 that adds an English language option to the previously Chinese-only title. It is available via Steam for $29.99.

Gujian 3 is the first entry in the Gujian series to be released in English. Both the June 2010-released Gujian and August 2013-released Gujian 2 only support Simplified Chinese.

Errr…

The game text was previously both simplified and traditional chinese. Stating it was "simplified only" is wrong.
Changing the language ain't easy unless you learned chinese, but here's a 2steps pics "guide":

The game is singleplayer with always online DRM. Which means you can't install it, visit North Korea and play it unless you pay for internet access in the casino there.

Apparently, K+M works smooth as butter.

Audio from videos is mandarin, not cantonese. I have no idea if cantonese is available in the game - unlike the text, with the audio we don't have info before buying. Most probably cantonese is not in.

As an exotics chaser, I'm buying of course although the combat suspiciously looks as some darksoulsy rubbish. Well, I can always refund if it happens to be true… Or cheat the silly QTE and care about the story only.

Additional notes:
- English dub is not in so if you can't stand subs, skippit
- Looks like xianxia and not wuxia, if you wanted a wuxia game, skippit
- It's not openworld, so if you wanted one, skippit
- The game due to draconian chinese censorship can't have what we call mature content, if you can't accept it, skippit
- There is a card game similar to gwent inside, if you hated gwent, skippit

Just an aside, I played only 1 Gwent game during my entire Witcher 3 run. Most of these minigames are optional.

I think I have learned enough Chinese by now to be able to switch the language to English in a Chinese game....

Tried playing it in Chinese as an excercise, but wow does that game have buttloads of text (and rather complex language, too, for a game) - way above my language level.
So having it in English might mean I can actually play the game now.

I saw this on Steam and was somewhat intrigued.. but I think you have to play a set male protagonist which made me lose interest.

It also makes me intrigued ... but so far I was not really able to put together what is the game really about. All available videos are incredibly long and that doesnt help me realize what are basic gameplay pillars. Didnt find any really useful reviews so far. Maybe I will just try it myslef in near future ...

Don't like always on-line DRM and don't understand why single player have such. Also some people complain that sometime things go very bad because server becomes non-responsive.
