I've started quite a few bonfires back in the day with old manuals, game boxes and the like. Better than aged tinder, and burns hotter than you might think. On the downside, it can also create an awful stench.

That's a pretty nice deal to get all the older materials, if such a thing strikes your fancy. I bet they'll sell them all lickety-split!

I have a fairly huge collection of boxed games in my garage. I only reveal it to my gamer friends. I'm pretty sure my wife doesn't even know about it.

I didn't know Blizzard released a big box version of Starcraft.
No wait it's "100 Internet Links to Starcraft Sites" disappointed.
Someone also found the original source code disc.

Not exactly an RPG but an Adventure Game which has some slight RPG elements and also makes fun of several fantasy tropes.
Unfortunately German only, I already bought that game like 20 years ago, otherwise I'd have bought it (5€ instant buy + 5€ shipping):

Time for another posting and hint here.
Just found this on ebay. Already got the game. But as this is an instant buy option I wanted to throw this here for anyone interested.
It's from the UK, so most interesting for europeans. You might to try to search for it in your own countries ebay.

For 25 Pounds

And another one, this time it's German again.
Somebody is selling 3 boxes which seem to be in very good condition of the games:
Baldurs Gate 2, Dead Island, Wizardry 7 Gold
for just 29€ and 6€ shipping
I am very tempted to buy them myself, but I already got 2 of them (in different boxes though) and I am not interested in the third: BG2.

Just something interesting I stumbled on today. Saw this game on ebay, and I never even heared about it: "Desciples of Steel":
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Disciples-Of…sAAOSwNMZdn4aX

Looked further into it, and well…it got horrible scores (ranging from 14/100 to 41/100) and it got into the list of Computer Gaming Worlds Worst of all time from 1996 according to mobygames: https://www.mobygames.com/game/dos/disciples-of-steel
Anyways: It looks kinda interesting. Did anyone of you actually play that thing or know something about it's history?

Anyways, looks like that title had some potential which a never released sequal could have used.

I have every single boxed game I've ever purchased. They are all opened but in excellent condition as I've stored them in a dark, dry location over all these years. Sadly, I'll have to be dead before they'll ever get sold off. Good luck.

Most expensive stuff is probably Ultima Games before Ultima 8, and Bethesda Games. But there aren't that expensive games as early Lucas Arts Adventures (Maniac Mansion), ID Soft games (Wolfenstein 3D, Doom) or Epic games (Jazz Jackrabbit).
Games in the RPG Genre I am still specifically looking for (for decent prices) are Might and Magic 2, Might and Magic 9 and Wizardry 8. Which all kind of share a common theme of being basically only available in the US and therefore usually quite expensive in Europe (or you have to live with 20€+ shipping on top of the US price).
Oh…yeah, and there is Fallout 2….
RPG Boxes so far:

I have all the games you mentioned in your prior post. It's interesting, after all these decades, I can go and open my original Sierra On-line large-box copy of Ultima 2 and it still has that "fresh" just copied smell. Guess that smell, twinkies, and cockroaches will all still be present when humans are gone.

Haven't written here anything for quite a while, but wanted to highlight something I just found on ebay and which might be interesting for someone living in the US (and someone from EU who want to cope with the shipping prices)
Reals of Arcania - Shadows over Riva is a rather rare sight, and there is an offer for just 14,95$ instant purchase
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Realms-of-Ar…sAAOSw0Yxeri3C

And just one other thing as I have never seen this before: Rogue, in a sealed version (tandy) for 84,95$
