I liked the ending, I did however not like the fact that I could choose how to end it. What I would have liked was if my dominant tide/tides had limited what choices I could make. So pretty much one ending per tide, and then the rest plays out the same way as it does now.

About that.. What do the tides actually do? You get colors for certain actions, sure, and by now my character is pure Gold, but are there any gameplay effects? I'm still in the Sagus Cliffs areas.

I'm currently playing. While the game overall is quite ok (setting is not really my taste) I'm totally staggered about the lack of NPC portraits making the dialogues quite sterile and significantly decreasing immersion.
That's not worthy of a $ 4 Mio Kickstarter project.

Tides basically affect some NPCs dialogue responses, mostly just flavor text, you don't miss anything by being in different tides.
