Dragon Age Inquisition - Screenshots (may have some spoilers))

We have to have screenshots! Shows your character shots and anything else you like, although since the game is still new use spoiler tags for screenshots that may show to much.

I usually spend the first day trying out characters. On dinner break so here is my Qunari - some in the creation screen and some in game.

Nice shots, and some nice lighting.

Are those the highest quality textures? If so, I reckon it's time for those texture modders to get busy.

Lol I agree. I have everything set to ULTRA/MAX on my settings. Characters look almost life like though. Outdoors it looks really sweet and some lush wonderful graphics. But I think the textures are not that HR and maybe that is why the camera is limited on how close up you can get (outside of cut scenes).

Had some fun last night with exploring. However compared to Haven, which feels alive with activity and people, Val Royeuix was like a ghost town. It felt very sterile and empty. If they can make Haven so busy it doesn't seem to be an engine limitation for consoles. Shame as the city is great but it needs a lot more life to it.

Right click, view image, to see full size :)

Am I just an idiot, or do you still have to add Origin games to Steam as non-steam games in order to take screenshots?

You should be able to get screenshot by using the Print Screen button on your keyboard.

I get that thing where the screenshot is blacked out (and in windowed mode, only the game window is blacked out).

Print screen is all you need. DAI saves them in a folder for you as PNG files. You can also use FRAPS but the built in tool works seamlessly and is very quick.

Now that I am doing some stuff outside the Hinterlands the game is picking up nicely. 8/10 seems to be a fairly solid and safe score. Followers are a lot of fun.

Someone figured out how to hide the HUD/GUI finally using the console:

ui.drawenable 0 // 0 is off, 1 is on

Just need to figure out how to get my DOF and I'm golden. Mix of cut-scenes and hidden GUI.

I went back and made a Qunari rogue… and it just didnt feel right.

Like I said - DALISH 4 LIFE!!!

The downside to PS3 is that i cannot take a screenshot of my awesome character, a rogue and member of the Poison Lips Clan. As well as being highly skilled in the use of poisons and traps, they ingest a particularly toxic poison their entire lives, turning their lips and eyes green but making them immune. They sometimes will seduce a foe, killing them with a lethal kiss, lips coated with the toxin.

I went all-in on poisons and traps in Origins, so I want to make this character of the same bloodline. It's a fun way to play, i get tired of just being a crit machine as rogue. Play dirty, it's more fun

My first play through, free of spoilers and full of my "mistakes" in making choices, is my canon and focused on the story and characters. Now I am ready to start my second play through. This will be my thorough one where I will cover all the content and side quests - and get to know all the companions (versus just the ones I wanted to have). A more relaxed and casual pace since my curiosity (to know what happens) won't be driving me through the story.

The problem is deciding who to play. Only like the Qunari and Humans and I already did a Qunari Rogue. I could do a human Mage and hit both the mage and noble dialogues ... or do a Qunari Mage and then do a third game with a Human Champion and play up the whole Noble Champion aspect. But not sure I will have the energy for three rounds. Story is a key factor in these games and once I know it then lose some of the interest. Usually two times is enough.

Anyhow I have three characters all level 3 sitting in Haven waiting for me to decide :)

Varg is from a powerful Noble family that is also heavily religious. He is brash, headstrong, and likes to take charge of things. He dislikes his families close minded attitude and restrictive religious influence. When given the chance to help with the inquisition, away from the Chantry and Templar life, he gladly accepted. He is a Champion who focuses on Sword and Shield techniques. Young and eager to prove his worth outside of his family name, Varg sometimes gets in over his head. Luckily his brashness is matched by his skill at weapons which has saved his hide many times. With a ready smile and commanding presence he is a natural born leader.

Wolf born to a powerful and well connected Noble family but was shipped off to the circle at a very young age - his Andastrian family wanting little to do with him. Wolf is a calm, sophisticated, and well mannered young man who always tries to see both sides of a situation. When faced with choices he will often analyze both sides carefully before making any decision. While this means he seldom acts rashly it can make him appear indecisive and he has trouble adapting quickly to unknown situations. He specializes in Spirit and Frost magic, both skills reflecting his thoughtful and slow nature. He has agreed to help the Inquisition hoping it will make him a better leader and better equipped to become First Enchanter some day.

Kveldulf is an apostate rebel mage working for a band of mercenaries. His true parents unknown he was found by a mercenary band as an infant during a raid on a Qunari outpost they had been hired to wipe out. He was raised by two Tal-Vashoth in the band who had fled their homeland instead of being "re-educated" by the Ben-Hassrath.

They use to tell him stories of how mages were made into pet slaves in the Qun and his biggest fear is to be captured by them and turned into one of the Saarebas. He vehemently opposes all things Qun and is suspicious of all other Qunari. He does not consider himself Qunari; he is simply Kveldulf the Mage.

He values the individual and clan ties over society and the community. He would save a friend even if it meant risking the lives of many. A very powerful battle mage Kveldulf has studied the ways of the Knight Enchanter, using his large size and strength to his advantage in battles.

He joined the Inquisition to avenge his fallen comrades who died at the conclave and to learn more about the mark on his hand. Yet as he grows in influence and power among the people of Thedas he begins to learn the importance of the community as well as the individual and strives to find some balance between the two.

Don't forget that based on your race you get different wartable missions.
Also on the second run (if it happens) I'd try elf to check if I can get elven trust faster and stuff.

For sakes of drama, I suggest definetly taking a different choice with Florianne (kill/capture). The outcomes of that quest are totally different but both are superb!
I admit I "cheated" that one in the first run and reloaded a save to see both outcomes. This was easy to do as it's not a long term choice like for example with Lelianna that shows it's consequences much later in the game (kill/not kill a traitor) which I would love to try the other way.
