GOTY 2020 Most anticipated: Getting a short-list

This is the long list for the most anticipated game for 2021. I want to get to a short list of about 30 games. Feel free to comment on what games should be added to that short list and what games should be removed.

Dungeons & Dragons: Dark Alliance

These were announced just last week.

This game could be added as well
Gothic Remake

Last Epoch
ELEX 2
Jupiter Hell

I would add those games:
- Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG
- Weird West
- Everspace 2 (although it would only be a few days)
- Outriders

And I'd definitely keep those:

- Baldur's Gate 3
- Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous
- Solasta: Crown of the Magister
- Elden Ring
- System Shock (Remake)

For clarity. By default I just go with the first 30 on the list, sorted by h-index. The h-index is an indication of the popularity of the game, using the comments on news posts. Note that it is AN indication not the one and only indication there exists. Besides, the popularity can also be a negative one, when a lot of comments are about the game being bad.
There are several more ways to filter the games, like using the ratio, which is just the number of comments divided by the number of posts or any other sorting method not used here. Anyway, we are using this one.

The feedback given should be about which games should be added, which should be removed and/or which should definitely stay in that top 30. So basically looking at the top 30, what makes that an (in)correct list for you.
I will use the feedback received, to update the list and post the top 30 or something like that in a day or two and we can have another iteration and repeat that until you give up

I could easily vote for my top 15 Most Anticipated games, given this year seems to be promising. Myrthos, don't matter the filter you use, please just don't leave ELEX 2 out of this list

Hrm…were is Geneforge?

Besides of that:
I'd like to see Urban Strife, Elex 2,Archaelund and well…Baldur's Gate 3 and that one will win anyways.

Dark Envoy, System Shock remake and Solasta are ones I agree with. Broken Roads is also interesting but not sure if it will be out this year.

One missing is Realms Beyond: Ashes of the Fallen

I understand they are having developer troubles but maybe they will still get things straightened out. It still is on my most anticipated list anyway. The rest of the list looks like a lot of "meh" to me, but I'm really picky, plus am just not familiar with many of those titles.

+1 for Elex 2. Despite the lack of newsposts compared to some of the other games, I feel like it's one of the more anticipated titles, and Piranha Bytes has a strong following here.

Totally missed Encased. Yep, that one is also a game a I am strongly looking forward to!
Whether or not it's going to be released in 2021 - we'll see, but I guess that can be said about most of the games. Except Geneforge.

I make the lists based on the information in our database. In this case it means the list is comprised of games that have an estimated release date set in 2021.
There are many, many games in the database that have a TBA as the release date and they will not end up in the list I extract from the database.
That does not mean they should not be in the list. So, keep your suggestions coming, but do keep in mind that there should be a reasonable chance that the game is to be released in 2021.

Yep - we don't know an release date for Encase, for example, yet.

And in RPGWatch logic: Early Access = TBA (to be announced)

Colony Ship - A Post-Earth Role Playing Game will be EA in 2021.

I proposed to add Encased: A Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG because it has a very good chance to be in 2021. Unless they are lying through their teeth, most of the content is done, and from what I saw of the EA, it's already quite stable and mature. It was due 2020 but they decided to delay it to add voice acting (and I suspect, because they found a publisher allowing them to take a little more time to polish the game).

Same for Weird West, Wolfeye Studios has a 2021 target, for what it's worth of course

Geneforge is definitely being released this year.

That one has been released, no? Just not on Steam yet.

One I see missing is the upcoming early access Atom RPG Trudograd.
