Risen really this is the ending?

I've worked os hard and lovingly on my mage, making him a formidable weapon of magic, learning all the seals even though it took searching through the ruins 50 times to get my wisdom up to 200 , truly a great and powerful mage...
and then I had to melee fight the last boss.... seriously!?!

it is darn it PB I expected better, but I guess it's true what they say it's the road that matters not the destination. the game was amazing, slighty disappointing ending is something I'm willing ot suffer through. time to reroll a fighter

Aye, the ending is pretty bad. They probably designed it that way due to balancing issues (they know exactly how powerful the player is, since they hand out the perfect armor + a minimum of axe rank 7 + shield). Still, it's a poor excuse for forcing everyone to play through the final fight with the same strategy, regardless of how they built their characters.

Yes the ending lacks but give it a few weeks - you'll forget about it and just remember the 1000 lizards you slaughtered.
