Seeing as I play tabletop Pathfinder I'm thinking Kingmaker. But like Ripper it'll be a while before I can ratify that assumption.

Something interesting… Pathfinder 2.0 is currently in open beta and has some quite different mechanics to the first version that I assume this game is based on.

Have they added 'proper' support for epic level classes (21+)? Epic level in DnD3/3.5 didn't work well...I ended with a party at level 20 when we switched to PF, and we just stopped then...PF added some other ways of handling 21+, but not compelling as I recall. I loved thew flavour of Epic Levels in DnD3..the monsters...like atropals etc...

On the topic of the poll: I played some adventure paths in PF - loved them. Especialy 'the way of the wicked'... I like PF mechanically, and there are some great modules - even if Golarian is a bit bland.

After round two it's ….

Owlcat Games 8

Obsidian 5

It's still not looking good for Obsidian but again the match is not over yet.

Who will win and who will go home in shame?

We'll be back after these commercials.

Behind curtain #1, Standard RPG in a cliche fantasy setting.
Behind curtain #2, Standard RPG in a different cliche fantasy setting.

Hmm….

Behind curtain #3, PnP Ptolus campaign I'm starting with some friends soon.

I know which I prefer.

13 votes, it should be round 13 in a 15 round heavyweight fight. Let's go to the scorecards!

PoE2 doesn't have a cliche setting.

We have to wait until it releases, so the "white knights" and the "haters" can put some blood on the canvas.

Looking at CohnCarnage getting slaughtered none-stop in the tutorial fight (on hard). Pathfinder wins, just for the entertainment factor…

update: he succeeded…after like 10 tries, lol.

This poll is kind of silly because

1. Nobody that has played PoE2 has played Pathfinder

2. Nobody that voted for Pathfinder has played PoE2

You should ask this question again in 2019 when people have played both games.

I wonder why they chose to play one and not the other?

Yet again people bringing logic in a thread made for fun.

Anyway it looks like Obsidian will lose.

Not in review scores though. I honestly expected Pathfinder: Kingmaker to review better than PoE2 on GOG and Steam.

What's the deal? Did they not send critics any review copies?

Metacritic is unreliable for user scores in my opinion. I remember looking at PoE2 at release and it had a 90+ at that stage as well though.

I think they didn't want to be destroyed by bugs that would be mostly fixed for launch, so they didn't send early review copies. They finish the launch build last Saturday.

I did not hate POE, it just bored me to the death. Same goes for the second one. ( for too many reasons)
So technically, Kingmaker is already more entertaining than either one.( though I haven't played it yet).
