Thanks to Kordanor we now have an update on the release of Avernum 2: Crystal Souls. It was supposed to be December, but the website now says January 2015.

Their recent Escape from the Pit is a masterpiece GUI-wise. Really well written dialogues. The game's balancing needed the awesome Remix Mod. It will be sensible to wait for patches and a good MOD next year, before attempting jumping back into the same world of Avernum 2: Crystal Souls.

It's a nice feeling to have plenty of games in my backlog in the meantime and yet have others like Avernum 2 to look forward to. I'm certainly keen to resume my Spiderweb adventures when that time comes.

Then again, having PLEEEEENTY games in you backlog feels somewhat less nice, unless you're close to retirement..
