Worthplaying report on the Tremere for Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines 2.

The Tremere are knowledge-obsessed warlocks who unleash devastating blood magic against their enemies.

Often referred to as usurpers, hermetics, blood witches, or worse, the other vampire clans share a general distrust of the Tremere. Despite this, the other clans respect the sheer power of the Tremere's blood magic, turning those willing to offer their services into valued, if uneasy, allies. Long before Seattle, the Tremere began as occultists who were seeking immortality. Even though they found a way to live forever, the price they paid bound their magic to blood. The origin of their curse is mostly forgotten but continues to color their interactions with other Kindred. The Tremere were not allowed in significant numbers in Seattle - until recently...

You can head over to the Paradox Interactive Twitch channel today at 9 a.m. Pacific (12 p.m. Eastern) where the Bloodlines 2 team will give a breakdown of the Tremere clan.

The Tremere employ powerful blood magic to uncover secrets and unleash harrowing attacks. Players who join the Tremere's ranks can unlock two new disciplines to expand their arsenal: Thaumaturgy and Auspex. Thaumaturgy is the Tremere's signature blood sorcery which grants unparalleled destructive power. Auspex expands the Tremere's senses beyond the boundaries of their bodies, ensuring nothing stays hidden to the Warlocks.

Not a big fan of the art style of these videos. Hopefully it doesn't represent the style in the actual game.

Another surprise this week developer Bigben Interactive is also making a new Vampire: The Masquerade RPG, I found this news today so I don't really have much to share.

The information revealed so far is very limited and understandably so as the game has only been in production for three to four months. What has been said is that unlike The Council, Vampire: The Masquerade will not be an episodic game. It will be a full, large, RPG featuring a large narrative, with branching dialogues and everything you could expect from a Vampire: The Masquerade. All of the clans, the disciplines, they’ll all make their way in and work within the rules of the traditional tabletop RPG.

The only other thing that was said is that we won’t see this Vampire: The Masquerade for at least two years. All we can hope is that it will be the grand sort of RPG that really suits the license. I would say, following The Council, Big Bad Wolf should at least deliver on the dialogue options and variety. As for the rest, let’s wait and see.

Let's hope they do a better job than it's predecessor. Bloodlines had cartoonish/juvenile design to it's abilities/mechanics, and it really did a poor job at any sense of "struggle" and how they're integrated into society ( a vampire, living among humans).
( Vampyr and Redemption really did a lot better job in comparison)
