I just played this scene one hour ago, and re-watched it on youtube, and frikkin cried again. Those that played the game most surely know which one I'm referring to.
I dare say that scene, for me at least, was more impactful than anything in any other game. While I absolutely worship Last of Us, none of the scenes in that game are this intense. I'm sure the scene works perfectly since I'm very familiar with the characters, and realized that they even pulled from the books.
So, any opinions from others' who've seen the scene?
When Geralt stumbles onto the cabin with the dwarves, and seemingly randomly finds out that Ciri is dead inside. That whole cinematic was absolutely insane for me. The music, the tenseness where Geralt tries to find the courage to walk in. He reaches her body, and turns her over and just steps back in horror, with the music reaching perfect notes, and turns away from the camera, seemingly crying his heart out. That was absolutely incredible, the way they pulled it off.

I do believe the flashback that the game jumps to, Geralt and Ciri running at each other in the woods, when she was young, was taken from the books, no? From The Sword of Destiny? So cool if it is.
