RPGWatch Curation:
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire plays like a mix between Baldur's Gate and Pirates! - a great adventure with many choices and consequences and a lot of exploration. Extraordinary!

If you do not like the first part, or you do not particularly digest the party isometric RPG with an active pause - you do not have anything to do with Deadfire. Some mechanics Obsidian have been improved, various defects and oddities of the original were corrected , but the very essence of the game remained the same. But if you are not familiar with the genre, and want to get acquainted - then try to play. Although it is better, of course, to start with the original - after all, Deadfire is its direct continuation.
