The fields and woods about a mile from where I live ... as I haven't traveled, outside of work and errands, much in the last few years. I could if I wanted to but pretty content where I am

I went out and had my hair cut yesterday, first time I've done that in almost eleven months. Feels like I dropped a pound or two!
This is a traveling year for me. I went to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota earlier this year, choosing to drive the 14 hours over a couple days each way.
Last week I was asked to go to Billings, MT for work. I've never been there but it is nestled near the Rockies and is quite scenic I hear.

After I get back from my Billings trip, we're going to head to the world's largest casino in Thackerville, OK. Surprised? Yeah, the world's largest casino isn't in Las Vegas or Atlantic City, but in homely little Oklahoma. However, it is about 90 minutes from the very much larger Dallas/Fort Worth area and that's probably where we'll spend quite a bit of time.

Lol, yeah. I got pretty shaggy, and grew a beard that could have housed a small owl. But the beard got voted off the island once normality started to return.

This year we are visiting New Orleans. Here I am at the Buckner Mansion, Miss Robicheaux's Academy from AHS 3: Coven

Last time I was in Nah' Olahns, I had to fight off one very disturbed mugger. Didn't spoil my trip though, it's a lovely town, I'd love to go back someday.

My bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and local Walmart. No photos though sorry. Yep my life's exciting and I travel the world in my Jet. That's sarcasm as I don't have the money.

I went to a local restaurant over the weekend, and I was flabbergasted at just how few patrons were actually wearing masks and taking precautions. Needless to say, we ate out on the patio and still wore masks, I'm pleased that at least my son seems to have far more common sense than the average Joe.
It's not easy to enforce, and people are just people, they don't care much on average.
At the beginning, it was fine because everyone was afraid. After a couple of months students had enough and there were illegal parties, in summer it was just a lost cause. Then people made an effort when the 2nd wave came.
Now that we've all been vaccinated, wearing the mask is just an old habit for some.
