I mostly based my list on the number of times I've watched the movies which I figured was a decent gage, but Icefire may have caught me because I totally forgot the Pink Panther movies. Those probably belong somewhere in the middle of the list. The other one that I probably overlooked is The Great Race.

Wouldn't work for me as I never watch any movie twice.
The only exception are a couple of comedy movies as I can still laugh about them when I watch them a second and sometimes a third time. But with everything else the tension is just gone the second time I watch and I constantly think "ok, now this thing happens, and when did this happen again?...ah, yeah, it's two scenes later..."
Well...after 10-20 years I might have forgotten enough to make it almost as interesting as watching it the first time. But as I am just 32 years old atm, there aren't too many movies in that category.

Some of the movies I actually watched twice, and which are not mostly comedy movies:

-Pulp Fiction: Didn't like it and didn't finish watching it, when I was a teenage. Enjoyed it a lot when I was older
-Tank Girl: Stopped watching it the first time as it was just too silly. Liked it quite a bit when I watched it the second time. It's important to start watching it with the right expectations (that of a silly comic adaption).
-All Mad Max Movies. The first one is just horrible in my eyes. I can understand it's historical significance as when it was released the protagonist used to be a shining hero in most movies. But the setting wasn't really worked out yet, the story was stupid and I don't see much positive about this movie. I enjoyed the second and third one a lot when I watched them a second time.
-Original Conan Movies: Watched them before Age of Conan Release. They aged extremely well. Red Sonja however...boy, that's a really, really bad movie.

Same here - and also things that I will stop to watch if I come across them on TV. So for example 'A Few Good Men', I would only watch the final 20 minutes, but many others (including my while list and most Woody Allen or earlier Clint Eastwood stuff) I will watch almost endlessly ...

How could I forget one of my favorites?? The 10 Commandments.

So let it be written. So let it be done.

Influences

In the authorized biography of Star Trek creator Gene Roddenberry, Roddenberry notes that Forbidden Planet "was one of [his] inspirations for Star Trek." Elements of the Doctor Who serial Planet of Evil were consciously based on the 1956 film.

Forbidden Planet is named alongside several other classic science fiction films in the opening song "Science Fiction Double Feature" from The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

A scene from the science fiction TV series Babylon 5, set on the Epsilon III Great Machine bridge, strongly resembles the Krell's great machine. While this was not the intent of the show's producer, the special effects crew, tasked with creating the imagery, stated that the Krell's machine was a definite influence on their Epsilon III designs.[27]

Krull was awesome and is still awesome. Watched it again about a year ago and enjoyed it as much as I did as a kid at the movies.

Kelly's Heroes is a great movie Barbra.

It's weird but if you go by number of times you watch a movie, War of the Roses would have to be up there for me because whenever it is on TV I always start watching it.

I will give you a movie better then Airplane. The Kentucky Fried Movie. If you have never seen it I would recommend it highly.

Amazon Women on the Moon? I'd call that one better than KFM, although that was quite funny.

It is hard for me to do a list of top things of anything, so that includes movies as well.
But here are some that I enjoyed, left to ponder, made laugh or cry,re-watch, and simply, the ones that stand out and deserve more attention, from my POV.
In no particular order:

The Great Dictator (ah, that great end speech...)
Life Of Brian (Bigus Dickus,hah!)
The Green Mile
Forrest Gump (Life is like a box of chocolates...)
Gladiator
A Beautiful Mind
The Game
Cloud Atlas
Mr.Nobody
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind
Lucky Number Slevin
Powder Blue
The Prestige
Memento
Detachment
Never Let Me Go

Alright, it's even more than 10,better stop.
But I am going to even add some more, in the Silly Movies category.
Those are:
Don't Look Now... We're Being Shot At -orig. La grande vadrouille
Airplane
Young Frankenstein
Naked Gun
Ace Ventura
Hot Shots
I love You Man
Role Models
Mike And Miri Make A Porno
Superbad
Kick-Ass
Scott Pilgrim VS The World
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
The 40-Year-Old Virgin
This Is 40

And this is the end of the list. It is too long already.

Yep - reckon that's worth posting. Chaplin suddenly breaks character at the end, and gives his own speech.
