Game looks good but no mouse in the menus or inventory, real game breaker for me

No mouse isn't a big deal to me. This doesn't look like the kind of game I'd want to play with M+K.

You can play with m&k in the actual game. You actually use WASD for movement, spacebar for dodge-roll and left-click/right-clicks for sword/gun usage. It's just the menus that are keyboard only.

But they also don't offer rebinds. It's all very minimal in options.

That review mentions a demo, but it's no longer available afaict. A shame because I'd really like to try it.

This was supposed be another 2D Souls clone right? I might give it a try.

With the name "Morbid", I really had expected an extreme metal soundtrack.

a pibbur who assumes that behind any disgusting/nasty/yechy word there is an extreme metal band.

It's pixel art so it's intentionally retro. I'm not a big fan of the style myself, but some look better than others. I think this one looks pretty good at least from an artistic standpoint.

Game looks damn great. I missed hand-drawn and pixel-art games from 90s so much when whole game industry jumped on 3D bandwagon. Very glad indie scene revived it for us. Cant imagine why people keep complaining about it. There is more then enough games in different styles for everybody to choose from these days.

Anyway, will wait for review on Switch to hear about performance there and then will choose on which platform to spend the money.

FYI, Jake reviews this game and considering how nitpicky he is, the review is quite positive:

Bought on Switch just now, will try out tomorrow.

I don't miss it at all, probably because I was playing all those titles (EOB for once) and I saw the 16M graphics as progress, which was 2D before 3D was such a fuss everyone and their cousin had to use it.

More probably its matter of taste. Started playing long before pixelated games of 90s myself and I still appreciate them today.
