Among the host of Bandai Namco's 2016 releases will be at least three PC titles, including Tales of Berseria (TBA), and two God Eater titles. The latter will arrive on Steam this summer.

As always, many thanks to Couch for tonight's news.

Interestingly, many PC releases have been announced in addition to the console versions that were previously revealed (and in some cases already released) for the Japanese market. In the cases of Tales of Berseria and JoJo, the PS3 version won’t be released in the west.

More information.

Can't wait to play Tales of Berseria on Steam. My only area of concern is the amount of DLC Bandai Namco will release. Thankfully most are only cosmetic packs.

Yeah, they aren't quite as bad as, say, Ubisoft or EA, right?

That depends as Tales of Zestiria has 7 DLC with a total price tag of $52.94. Anyway as I said it's mostly optional stuff, and not what BioWare/EA did with Mass Effect 2/3.

Though I did enjoy my time playing Tales of Zestiriait & Tales of Symphonia should be the next PC release. Would be nice to see some of the earlier games get released also.

Mass Effect, both 2 and 3, have stuff critical to story, lore and setting understanding as DLC.
What's even worse, these DLC are not a part of any complet but can be purchased only with Bioware points, a taxfree virtual currency, useless for anything else, that is never on discount.
I don't think I remember seeing anyone trolling the audience like that. Even Ubi didn't dare to do something like this, ever.

Seems Bandai smelled cash in PC gamers wallets and now want a fair part of it for themselves. Just dunno what took them so long.

Who knows as Japan was never focused on releasing PC games unless it was visual novels, and games based on anime. So like you said money is probably the answer.

One thing to consider is games cost more to develop now, and Steam allows the Japanese developers to release PC ports later on for more cash on older games.

I'm not complaining as we usually have to use PC emulators.:)

"Tales Of" are all action RPG games, right? I'm not a big fan of that, but I'd still play this one, not too many turn-based RPGs these days anyway.

What about God Eater, how does it play in terms of combat? If anyone knows.

I hope this porting-to-PC trend catches on and more Japanese devs port over their titles. Persona 5? C'mon guys don't deprive PC gamers of Persona… :) The title already sold well enough in the West before not to be a risk.

Yes please! If there's one game that needs to be ported over to the PC, it's Persona 4 Golden. I assume we'll probably feel the same about Persona 5.

I just saw the way she's dressed in the second part of the trailer… On a second thought, I won't be playing Berseria, ever. Not unless you can avoid that ridiculous porn-dress completely.

Too bad they made that dress for a guy like you and all the rest of us have to live with it. :(

If it was ment to be sufferable for anyone, they'd have been selling it as DLC.
While I might (and I never said I do - you can't know if I was serious or joking if I constructed the post properly) have a fetish on porn dresses, I assure you, I have no fetish on horse armor.
And I still have to live with it just because others do.

Of course it wasn't meant to be sufferable, they're just ignorant that it is, for some. But as they say, good intentions pave a road to hell, so ignorance is no excuse. It merely proves that companies don't do marketing research properly and remain delusional.

Although I'm not talking about this one specifically, for we don't even know if that dress is forced, or whether it was or was not a DLC originally.

Oh, so you're merely a troll? Thanks for candid information, I'll remember that.
