Just a simple poll asking do you play any type of MMO? I know opinions vary on the site depending who you ask. I'm interested to see the results.

More no than yes.

For Roleplaying games?
I played one char up to level 55 in SW:ToR.

Otherwise I play only Shooters online.

LOTRO and the Secret World. Both of them very enjoyable.

Pibbur who quit WOW a long time ago. And sometimes looked back. But not tempted.

Was a point where they were pretty much all I played but, hardly touch them much anymore. Sunk tons of time into WoW. Messed around in NWN Online, DDO, SWtoR, GW 2, Rift, and Everquest 1 & 2.

No, never played one. I intend to give LOTRO a try, but I have so many interesting single player games to play, I am not sure I'll actually get around to it.

I played League of legends since it came out but I haven't touched it for 8-9 months I played DotA before that.I also played Path of exile and messed with Hawken a bit but like with most shooters I didn't stick with it for long but I consider it to be good game nevertheless.

I will vote yes due to the fact I used to play WOW, and lately I find myself playing more F2P KOTOR.

No. MMORPGs are a twisted mockery of everything good and pure about CRPGs. I'd sooner staple my scrotum to an enraged tiger than climb on the MMORPG treadmill.

Yes, though not right now. MMOs used to be my favorite thing. I loved EQ1 and it was the best gaming experience in my life. Last one I played for more than 1 month was SW:TOR. GW2 just lasted a month, and my hopes were on EQ Next to bring back the enjoyment, but that was killed by their recent announcement (it'll be like MinecraftQuest). Not sure I'll play another one as twitchiness seems to be the thing now, and I prefer more tactical combat like it used to be.

I have played computer games my whole life dating back to pong. I hate to say it, but I have never had as much fun as when Everquest first came out in 1999. It was too damn addicting though. It was called Evercrack for a reason. For over a year all I thought about was playing EQ.

I play a little GW2, and a LOT of DDO with our regular Watch players. It's the people you play with who make it a fun experience!!

No, I'm in no mood to interact with other people after a working day full of socialising (talking to my wife is about the most I can manage). Also other real world people in my game tends to break the suspension of disbelief I have when playing. I suppose I could solo but it would feel like I'm going against the whole point of an online game.

No, I keep trying though to see if one will hold my interest but they never do.

Maybe if that had a check box that would make everyone else invisible so it felt like a single player game then I would.

IMO, there's no reason not to solo. Something like SW:ToR is perfect for at least 1 play through because it's built around a story. I absolutely avoid playing with people like the plague until level cap. With the exception of Raid/Dungeon content and PvP, it's far easier, not to mention faster, to play alone. Playing with a group of people you know & like does enhance the experience, but it's far from required.

I'm the contrary. MMOs where grouping is mandatory, or very advisable, makes it much more enjoyable to me than solo-friendly MMOs. That's why I liked EQ1 so much, and City of Heroes (yes you could solo, but it was not only more rewarding, but a hell of a lot more fun to play in 6-hero groups).

I liked the 'more no than yes' answer - but since I have played more than a few dozen hours of both The Old Republic and Neverwinter, I had to answer 'Yes'. Not a huge fan of the genre, and I only solo ... but I will give them a shot.

Yup, and I've played pretty much all of the non-obscure ones. It's been years since I really delved into one, though - but I still find the time to play around with them in a cyclical manner.

WoW kinda ruined the genre for me, though (complete burnout) - and I'm waiting for a significant evolution (or rather, revolution).

For the moment, ArcheAge looks to be evolutionary - and the just announced details of Everquest Next sound very, very interesting.

They are WAY to addicting for me so I don't play them at all any more. I stick with single player games nowadays.

If only I didn't have to work or exercise or do house chores ...
