Hello,

I just found a store which sells a
Intel Quad Core Q9450 s775,2.66GHz,1333MHz,12MB, for 254€
Is that a good price ?

I remember PIV's costing that price and since then I haven't really been in the loop.
I'm just curious and if anyone is interested I'll post the link. The store is in Belgium though.

Pladio, is it forcom? That's the store I bought my last pc. They give good advice too when you want to build your own setup.

They are by far the cheapest in Belgium -> I also looked at comtech and they rate it at €274. The reason why they are so cheap is that they import it from Germany. So if you want it cheaper, perhaps a look online (not Belgian) can help.

Q9450 at Alternate, Germany is €249 at the moment BUT the newer Q9550 is only €251. So, you could get a faster processor (2.833 GHz) for only 2 euros extra; probably the price difference is small in Belgium as well.

Click on the German flag. Gives you a good idea what competitive prices look like in Germany. Just be aware that the cheapest shop doesn´t necessarily have to be the best.

In that Belgian store the price difference is to high imo -> I'm talking about €30. When the difference is €20 or less, I'd do it.
@Gorath -> Off course with the shipping cost a cpu of €232 is about the same a going to a store nearby (Pladio is from Antwerp if I remember correctly) and buy it for €254. Plus like I already said, they have a (imo) pretty good support.
