Well here is another interesting kickstarter game from an ex-Witcher developer, and few others called Thea:The Awakening. It's not an RPG, but it's worth a look.



Thea: The Awakening is a strategic survival game inspired by Slavic mythology and folklore and set in a dark, post apocalyptic fantasy world of Thea.

There are no heroes, no monster slayers, and no great armies ready to banish the dark forces that plague Thea. Just a few hopeless and starving survivors, who are desperately trying to stay alive. And you: their only true hope.

For one hundred years Thea was a land of Darkness. Ruled by creatures of the night, demons from the depths of the underworlds and lost souls tormented the living, unable to find peace. Gods fell from their seats, kingdoms crumbled into ruin, and death and despair dominated the lands.

In Thea: The Awakening you take on the role of a god, a patron of a small group of survivors, hopelessly trying to lead your flock through the many risks and dangers that plague Thea. Only your skill and judgement will determine whether you can save mankind from eternal Darkness.

I almost forgot about this game last year as it failed to get funded on kickstarter. The developer MuHa Games posted a new update about what will happen in 2015.

Thea in 2015!!!
The reason for the delay however, should hopefully make you guys happy, as quite simply, we've been mega busy with the game dev.

For those who do not follow us on fb & Twitter, I'll sum up some of our ongoing work:


- We're currently working on our second, much improved version of the events system, that will hopefully allow for an even smoother running and greater variety of options for our events design. As this one of our big milestones, we hope to have this working by the end of January.
- At the same time, we're constantly improving our game design, mechanics and so forth, so this includes working on our crafting and recipes, which includes the mechanics as well as the design and content - we want to have as many interesting recipes available as we can, but also to make the crafting a meaningful and noteworthy part of the game.
- We're fiddling with our vast bestiary, working out the UI for it all and as ever, coming up with more and more events to make Thea fun and diverse!
- Some of the technical changes include moving our databases to googlefu and switching to uGUI
- We are also working hard to get the Village Management set up and running this month so that we can present a new, more detailed gameplay vid very soon!
