Fallout 4 FO4 ocean contains secrets?

Saw this:

I swam to the island where the behemoth super mutant was during the BOS questline and found a mirelurk which you could talk to, he doesn't say much and just mumbles a few words before running away to quick to follow.

Although there don’t seem to be any quests related to it, there are some lovely, detailed environments underwater. While this particular little jaunt didn’t turn up much of note, there are plenty of things to find underwater across the Commonwealth, including Power Armor frames, ammo caches, a submarine and more.

The question is: is that all there is, or are there more secrets to find? Why are there so many different ways to survive underwater if there’s nothing of note down there?

In my other thread about useless perks, I said aquaboy is crap perk. Maybe I was completely wrong.
And now it seems I won't be finishing the game as fast as I planned…

If I find the talking mirelurk, I'll post the pic for sure.
