Nox Archaist is an 8-bit RPG due to release December 12th according to the latest update.

Nox Archaist Release Date!

IT'S BEEN QUITE A RIDE

From back in 1984 when our lead developer Mark Lemmert first had the idea to write a tile-based Apple II RPG, to the founding of 6502 Workshop in March of 2016, all the way through today, the journey has been amazing! But now, we've got another exciting date to add to that list...

WHAT DATE, YOU ASK?

None other than the official release date of Nox Archaist! On December 12, 2020, all backers will receive a link to the Digital Download version of the game! But that's not all, on this date we will also begin shipping physical rewards to backers who selected Option 2 (Early shipment with labelled blank floppies) on the survey we sent via email on November 16th.

Then Gamers of The World gathered around The Flag of the Knights Who Say Ni and picketh up their Pitchforks and torches and stormed Castle Garriott and… After many hours of chasing him on the endless stairwells up and down they finally rounded up Lord British, who by now completely lost all credibility, as a Dev-Eloper.

Lord British was thrown into chains and dragged before Her Majesty the Old Crone, where he was promptly proclaimed a male Witch and therefore was immediately burned on the Stake using fresh dry hay.

It really didn't matter to the mob that poor Richard Garriott had little to-do with the development of the hideously titled Nox Archaist [try to say it five time fast!] , excepting some "development method" about which nobody had any clue. BUt THEY - the Mob - hated Garriott so much by this time, that they wanted to tear him to pieces, which they did, after Garriott was properly roasted red on the large bonfire - Perfect Medium-Rare - and they have torn him up & ate him with much laughter & joy... and they got drunk on honey beer too!

Interesting? Is there that much of a market for 8-bit Ultima style games, anymore? I mean, outside of playing 80's games from GoG?
