Anthem - Release Day Reviews

Reviewers seem to agree that there is just too much repetation and too little unique content.

Repetition is now a classics in these days of disdain over gameplay.
The content thing is once again another exhibition of players pushing for situations while blaming others for consequences.

They follow the crowdfunded scene method of renewing interest by distributing content over time.
In aggregate, players play more hours the incomplete versions of a product than they do the complete version. They are kept hooked because of the promises of the new content.

Players look for content, not gameplay.
Seems like a fantastic setting and a game with a thrilling opening, but soon the player notices how much gameplay and exploration aspects are lacking long term.
.
Long term prospects are the addition of content. Of course they are lacking at the moment since they are designed to be added over time.

So you say they do look for content and you manage to quote right after that someone who complains about the bad gameplay?

The game is a poke at Mobile games, it is a grindy quagmire where you have to play hours and hours just to complete the tombs because many of the items you have to fetch are purely random. And that is mandatory to progress on the "story" path. Mechanisms are in place to bring frustration and we all know why game designers bring frustration in Mobile phone games.

Obviously it is like you, a dishonest attempt. At least Mobile games are free and this one is a full AAA price. At least for few days until it goes probably the same way than another massive shit, Fallout 76.

It is funny how always the same 2 guys take the job of turd polishers for EA/Bethesda. Are you paid?

The complaint about gameplay is the result of the lack of content. In absence of content, they point out the gameplay.

If players went after poor gameplay despite tons of content, stuff like the crowdfunded scene and TW3 would not be praised as they are.

My final opinion is the game is mediocre & Fallout 76 is just straight up terrible. So I agree with critics this time, and that usually doesn't happen all that much nowadays.
