@Nameless one
The Space rangers series seems like another series I have to buy :)

@Alrik
is your AoW review still around somewhere?

I think I reviewed Space Rangers long ago, but I can't remember if it was here or back at the Dot; excellent fun game!!

And it goes without saying that he who mentioned it, gets the review - Gorath :)

Actually I think I've written enough articles about PB games. ;) And after I had sunk 150 hours in G3 (with CP), ca. 100 of them were fun, I swore I would never touch it again.

I brought up G3 because it has a lot going for it. It's worth being included, despite its flaws and all the drama.

Using my vanity against me… Naughty HiddenX!

It worked, ya booger. I'm on the hook for Wiz8.

Simply great :) , you're are the right one for this. I still remember our discussions with Michael C at the Dot about the perfect party mix - good times.

I simply don't know :( , he never came here to the Watch.
He was from Aarhus, Denmark, if I remember right.
He was the first editor of the CRPG-Meter.

Ah, another walk down the NFG memory lane...

After all these years, DzD might almost be old enough to drive. I think of many of our missing friends from time to time, but the one that pops in my head most is the King of the Cross-Topic Bane, Pinnen. I wonder what ever happened to that guy. Didn't he get married right before the Exodus? Hope he's somewhere, happy as can be.

Pinnen was the closest thing to a modern day "Jester" - his conversations were hilarious.
DzD, Lintra, Val, Gig, Danicek, Badger … I'm missing a lot of the old crew.
Skavenhorde, Dhruin, Garret, Magerette, Prime Junta … too.

ca. 60% of all planned reviews are assigned already - still 40% to go!

Take a look at the list - maybe your favorite game from childhood still needs a reviewer.

I see that nobody has taken MM7 and MM10 yet. Surprising.

Boss, take a quick gander at my preview and review for MM10 here at the Watch. I'd need to pool them into a single article and do a tweak or two, but that wouldn't take too long. If my previous stuff meets your needs, let me know and I'll take care of MM10. If that's not really what you're looking for, feel free to say so. No worries.

I'd love to do MM7, but I don't want to bite off too much. While you're taking peeks, you might want to look at the writeup Corwin did for Frayed Knights. Since nobody has claimed that one yet, it might be a good fit. It's been a while since I read it, but I think the Old Man did a decent job on his review. ;)

I read your review, and you should take both. Seriously, no hurry. ;)

Also, while I appreciate Corwin's offer, his review is so big and my wordcount so limited that I would have to butcher his test into a unrecognizable mess... that's why I prefer to have the author write or edit them.

Hey FLPPP

I noticed Tunnels of Doom wasn't on the list (ToD to its fans)

It was about the only RPG made for the Ti99/4a and one of its most successful games. It was very important in the history of PC Gaming - kind of like what Marathon did on the Mac by bringing a decent FPS to that platform. Basically the conventions found in the Gold Box Games started in ToD.

It was pretty epic. Even if the dungeons were randomly generated the whole maze was saved to disk in the save games.
