Okay, NOW, how do you do THIS??
I have all the 'ingedients' but expert runestones for a particular ruinstone. So do I have to have the particular runestone to make that runestone? What's the point?; I'd already have 'um and not need to craft it in the first place!
So what am I missing here?
I hope the next continuation is better than this mess.

My advice, don't bother with that, it will requires a lot of clicks to build a better rune.
For most the system it's:
1 Novice + Stuff -> 1 Journeyman rune
2 Journeyman runes + Stuff -> 1 Expert rune
2 Expert runes + Stuff -> 1 Master rune
2 Master runes + Stuff -> 1 Grandmaster rune.
So you need know all 5 recipes to be able make 1 Grandmaster rune.
You'll need make 8 Journeyman rune, from them 4 Expert, from them 2 Master, from them 1 Grandmaster. 15 clicks to make one grandmaster rune, not to mention all the stuff you need buy, all the recipes you need learn.
So ridiculous, the sample system in DAO with no stupid crafting was much better.

I find that Master Runes are fairly good, and sometimes worth it (especially the ones you put on armor), but Grand Master is generally never a good idea - literally twice the effort for a tiny upgrade.
Oh, and you can buy most recipes at the hall of the keep, or from merchants in the town.
