Skip through conversations?

My it takes those Russians a long time to say the smallest thing. Is there any key I can hit to skip through a conversation if I've read all I need to know? I've tried some of the "obvious" keys but nothing seems to do the trick. Thanks.

The Esc key works. You might have to hit it several times, as it skips through just that particular sound file, methinks.

The BACKSPACE key works for me. Works pretty well hitting Enter to select a response, then Backspace to skip the audio after I've read the text.
