Default Ramall mission question

Hi, on Reandore you can meet a Free Trader called Ramall that will ask you first to get him some implants from the Imperial warehouse and then to kill the warehouse officer Ramall. When I start on the Imperial base this always ends with me killing the guy with a sniper rifle and thus mission success. Is something different happening when you take the quest after choosing the Free Traders side? Because the dialogue file hints at an ambush during the mission and several different ways to kill Derem afterwards…

When I played as Free Trader mercenary, I was never even been able to enter Imperial main base (bad reputation didn't helped ), due to all gates being locked (and lots of firepower at imperial side) so I never proceeded with this quest to that point.

I didn't think about that ! But then it seems it was a good idea to not give you any of his quests if you choose the Free Traders side, which I already did for the next patch…

Still, it would be good idea to recheck if maybe quest is doable if you have no negative reputation with Imperials.


P.S.
Although I'm pretty sure that only way to get keys for main bases (Imperial or Free Trader) is if you start working for one of these factions (and you can only choose one of them).

Besides the key, the problem is that there are two Randall's on the map. Until we can remove one of them it seems to me the best solution…

Wesp5- I am not sure if that can be fixed? On Reandore- taking the choice to work for the Empire does not give you any access to the Free Traders base (Far West) at all, I cant open the laser barriers, but can only access the smaller outpost (South) via the broken wall, if you enter this base as an enemy and kill everything what moves you can see a strange thing that once talking to the merchant inside the bar he suddenly disappears, if you do same while having good relation with the Traders you can even take missions for them but I assume this sneaking into the outpost is not supposed to be. As stated earlier I can play for the Traders and enter the Empire base but not vise versa, also I haven't checked it on Gil to enter into the Democratic Union base when choosing the Clatz revolutioneers faction. My proposal would be that as long I do carry good relations with any faction of having access to their bases, since we can't fly around on any planet (or I didn't find out yet) it could be a good option to clear the bad factions and being able of doing the missions for the other sides too like in BP/WG.

The problem is I just don't know how to open the Free Traders base when you work for the Imperials. That would probably require map editing.

Alright and well noted, so the only way is to play for the Free Traders first and than switch sides to the Empire, anyway I am still roaming around and as soon I see some other stuff/ solution I'let you know- thanks
