This may be a noob question but is there anyway to buy boxed copies from gog.com please? I think they are only selling digital version.
I want to buy it from them but boxed copy comes with printed map and I am big sucker for these printed map
So far only retailers such as Play.com are selling boxed copies.

No, GoG does not deal in physical media.
Boxed versions won't be hard to find once it's released. Any major software retailer should have it.

yes you are right, it should be pretty easy to get boxed version but I prefer to buy it from gog.com as most of the money go to the dev that way.
Looks like I have to do without the printed map

What you don't realize is if The Witcher 1 have sold that many copy it's also because it was well distributed. Having sell that many copy allowed them hope and plan a good amount of sells and setup project of The Witcher 2 accordingly.
I think it's much more logical to support the game by buying a box version at local retail store, this helping keep and push the series at higher levels allowing a stronger setup for The Witcher 3.
