I would say it's ok as far as you don't spam the link. For example some forums restrict users signatures in that area and so on.

Dani you are the very type of person the site needs and wants. Yes, it was a person who had to go from here. Personally I try to point people to the site as often as possible, but only in legitimate ways. Spamming it is not the first impression I want anyone to have of the site.
