This is not in the P&R thread, so it's not about democrats and gops. It's about this particular day, April 1.0

For once I actually got fooled by our mainl newspaper (Bergens Tidende) which had a story about helmets being required if our juniors were to play outside while in kindergarten. The fact that you could get commercial-sponsored helmets did not raise an eyebrow. To my defence: I was busy being in Berlin, so I think I am excused.

One of the more creative jokes I read about this year was a small community newspaper, which today (on paper) at least partially was printed in the size of the iPad. It was their way of keeping up with the new media.

And one of the more silly and hard-not-to-detect was the one about the government prohibiting april 1 jokes. Ok, we live in Norway, but still…..

Please enter your stories below.

EDIT: Didn't notice the BARD thread until now.

WOW of course has several things, this tima in the shaoe of noites for an upcoming 4.11 patch. You can read it all here: http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/1917972139#1

A few snippets:

* The UI addon system has been converted from LUA to Scaleform. All addons will need to be recoded.

* Show/Hide pants has been added to the Interface Options menu.

* A slider has been added to allow scaling of shoulder armor size.

* To toughen players up for their encounters with dragons and demons, the in-game emote “/hug” has been removed from the game.

* The name of the draenei race has been adjusted to have 20% more vowels.

* The tauren race may no longer choose the paladin class, because… come on. Really?

And possibly the winner for some of you:
# All items have had a 65-100% reduction in Fun.

There's also this one: Crabby, the Dungeon Helper. Reminds me of …….

And there's the Tomb of Immortal Darkness Main boss: Omgsogoth.

Says pibbur who thinks Blizzard are good at making april jokes.

My favourite aprils fools joke is from 1998 when norways largest webportal sol.no put a prank on porn surfers. They published a webform from the police where users could apply for amnesty from "past sins". It was pretty hilarious. Some 17.000 people probably had their day ruined as a result.

Wookiepedia was making a joke towards George ucas wanting Star Wars to appear in 3D : They simply ported the whole Wookiepedia site into 3D, too !

But only for that day … I tried it out (after I had accidentally stumbled upon it), and the 3D effect was like the text floating over the pictures …
