GameTrailers has a pre-E3 interview with the ubiqitous Tomasz Gop as well as level designer Marek Ziemak about the X360 version of The Witcher 2.

Man, I'm so glad to hear this. I won't have a PC capable of playing this until mid-next year and I hate playing action games with WASD. I can deal with lesser graphics if the thing will play smoothly, and using the Xbox controller looks perfect for this.

Looks like they designed W2 with consoles in mind after all. Can't wait.

FWIW, TW2 plays really well on the PC with a controller. I'm using the XBox controller myself. If you play on the keyboard WASD can also be remapped as of patch 1.1.

Of course none of this will help if you don't have a computer capable of running it decently, but still there are options for the controls on the PC version.

Looks like they had consoles in mind, but designed for PC. I wonder how this will turn out on the consoles, even though it plays well with gamepad.
